10:37 24/11/2011
On Monday, the People’s Committee of the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak opened the Dak Lak Museum, the biggest museum in the region, after four years of construction.

The 9,000 square meter museum was modeled after an E De ethnic minority group Rong house (communal house), and cost VND80billion (US$4million).

It showcases around 1,000 objects related to ethnic minority groups’ daily life and history, as well as the biodiversity of the region.

The museum is also the first museum in Vietnam to use four languages to describe the displayed objects: Vietnamese, English, French, and the local E De language.
